New Hampshire Season Sets Off With Nine Newly Certified Wallers!

A completely full roster of nine wallers got the season off to a bang at the Stone Trust NH. All nine finished the week-long Contractor’s Intensive workshop as certified Dry Stone Walling Association (DSWA) Level 1 Wallers. Congratulations to all of you!

You arrived from near and far with varying levels of experience. Having accomplished Level 1 Waller Certification, some of you stayed on for further training. One of you came all the way from California to learn as much about dry stone as possible in a week, adding Steps & Stairs and Flatwork to your skill set. Another eager waller completed a cheek rebuild workshop as well. Those of you with landscaping companies went home ready to add dry stone walling to your business portfolio. Some are considering sending team members for Stone Trust training. Good to know! Also wonderful to see the Stone Trust network at work, as wallers work with Stone Trust members and instructors, building the wailing community stone by stone.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We’ll consider all of your recommendations. Your enthusiasm for dry stone work and your aspirations as a waller are inspiring!

Thank you to instructor, Pete Ryder, for sharing your time and expertise with these participants to help them learn as much about dry stone walling as they could in five days. The group truly appreciated your passion and knowledge. One participant said “Pete’s passion and ability to articulate was second to none.”

Thank you also to the assessor, Jared Flynn, for traveling to examine the wallers on test day. Your knowledge as a master craftsman and one of only four assessors in the US is invaluable.
