Amy-Louise Pfeffer, Executive Director & Board Member
Bellows Falls, VT
With great pleasure and considerable surprise, I stepped into the role of executive director in the fall of 2019, bringing a variety of experience in nonprofit and small business development, as well as in public education. The board tasked me to lead the Stone Trust through a transition from growth to maturity by focusing on two priorities: governance and operations. Previous engagement in not-for-profit organizations—as a consultant, as a board member, as a professional intern, as a collaborative program coordinator, and as a volunteer—furnished different lenses from which to evaluate the Stone Trust’s needs and effectiveness in accomplishing its mission. Since then, collaboration with founders, board members, staff, and members of the professional walling community has enabled the spread of high-quality training and certification in the art and craft of dry stone walling from the Northeast to the Rockies!
