Heirloom Apples and Dry Stone Walls on October 7th!

On October 7th (Columbus Day weekend) The Scott Farm in Dummerston, Vermont, will hold its 16th Annual Heirloom Apple Day and, as part of the festivities, The Stone Trust will be giving tours of its Master Feature Park.

The Stone Trust Center is located at The Scott Farm so you’ll get to see a wide variety of stone and dry stone wall styles (e.g. Galloway, Feiden, etc.), and features (e.g. moongates, arches, etc.), built by some of the finest craftsmen in the country. You’ll understand why The Stone Trust is considered the premier dry stone training facility in the U.S.

If you have not been to The Stone Trust Center recently there are many new walls and features to see!

Stone Trust Master Feature Park Tours will be given at 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm by professional members of The Stone Trust. Kids (and everyone!) can try their hand at stacking stones in the mini-walling park!

Other activities include:

Heirloom Apple Talks & Tastings – 10AM, Noon & 2PM
Stone Trust Tours – 11AM, 1PM & 3PM
Live music by fiddler Molly Durling between 10AM and 2PM
Pick Your Own Apples & Shop in The Farm Market
