April Waller of the Month: Lynn Herrmann

Lynn Herrmann (Texas) — Specializes in design and installation of dry stone structures and native hill country landscaping. Throw in design and construction of straw bale homes for good measure. “So fortunate to have discovered the Stone Trust five years ago. Even more fortunate in having been a small part of some very talented walling teams while there in New England. My annual, sometimes semi-annual, dose of inspiration comes from those workshop trips and from all the fine folks I’ve met who are associated with the Stone Trust.”

FEATURED IMAGE: This 2019 project is situated on a ranch near Vanderpool, Texas. The dry stone fire pit (with mortared caps for seating) measures seven feet on the outside edge and is built with stones gathered from clients’ ranch. Oklahoma patio slabs and flags compliment native limestone boulders and chop used throughout the ten month project.
