For the 3rd year in a row Brian Fairfield of Maine Stonework lead the build at The Boston Flower and Garden Show, which is open Wednesday March 22 – Sunday March 26, 2017.
Brian designed the concept and brought together a great group of wallers to make it all happen. Over just 3 days 11 people built this Dry Stone Fairy House garden. An great achievement for the dry stone walling world. Check out the time lapse video of the build and the pictures below. Better yet come to Boston and see it in person! Photos don’t do it justice.
The stone includes granite, sandstone, and bluestone. The structure was built using dry stone walling techniques and methods that have been around for 100’s of years. Come learn them yourself by taking a Dry Stone Walling Workshop at The Stone Trust.
Every waller who worked on this build is a member of The Stone Trust or has been to our events. Nearly all were also Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain (DSWA-GB) Certified Dry Stone Wallers who teach at The Stone Trust. Learn about what it takes to become a certified waller and sign up for one of our upcoming Certification Test Days.
Awards were just given out and it won Best in Show and 4 other awards.
