A chance to learn from the women in North America who are DSWA Certifed Instructors! At The Stone Trust, all of our women’s only workshops are taught by women wallers. This workshop will have the 1st two women in North America who gained dry stone wall instructor certification!
This workshop is an excellent introduction to dry stone walling for the homeowner, landscaper/gardener, artist, or hobbyist. Over the course of the day each participant will build about 25 sq ft of wall (one side), using natural round fieldstone. You will learn all the basic rules of structural walling that can be applied to any type of stone and project.
Some women are nervous about trying out dry stone walling which is often a male dominated field. Dry stone walling is a field in which women can excel. At The Stone Trust we actively encourage women to try out dry stone walling and become professional wallers. The indoor training facility and women’s only environment make for a spectacular learning environment.
An amazing opportunity for women to learn from women who are professional wallers.
This workshop will follow the typical one-day format. It is suited to beginners and those with previous experience. The workshop will run 9:00am-5:00pm with 1/2 hour lunch break. This workshop is open to all women.
Licensed Landscape Architects can receive 7.5 LA CES credits for participating in this workshop.
