Finalist for the Watson Fellowship, a 12-month program for recent university graduates focused on the role of traditional craftsmanship in future sustainable architectural design. Seeking exposure to many different walling styles through apprenticeship and close study. Intent on passing level II and advancing towards level III before entry into architecture school (prospectus: Fall 2024).

FIELD OPERATIONS MANAGER
Standing Stone Landscape Architecture LLC is a well-established design/build landscape architecture company owned, and operated by Brian Post, located in Springfield, VT. We are expanding our team and looking for a Field Operations Manager. Standing Stone Landscape Architecture designs, builds, and restores custom stonework while focusing on traditional craftsmanship and building practices that last for generations. We’re seeking an experienced and reliable individual to fill an open position for Field Operations Manager. A great opportunity for the right candidate to join a stable growing company working on a wide array of projects.
This position will have the opportunity to become part of a dynamic company and as a result have exposure to many aspects of landscape development, restoration, design, masonry, stonework and more. The ideal candidate would be creative and focused: aspire to greatness: and be open to putting in the extra effort when needed to see a project through. The person in this position will be working along side, and supporting the work of some of the finest DSWA-GB certified wallers in the USA. We are excited about this position and look forward to having this individual join our team.
The position is Full-Time (40 hours) and year round. During peak periods extended workdays and weeks may be required to meet business needs.
The compensation for this position is $25 – $35 per hour, based on experience. We also provide benefits, including paid holidays, paid time off, and winter flex time.
Building trades experience is required. Stonework / dry stone experience is a plus, but not required. Level 1 DSWA-GB certification is also a plus but not required.

We are a small, detail oriented company working in the seacoast area of southern Maine and New Hampshire. We execute high end residential projects and are ALWAYS seeking those with or without experience with a similar love for stone who’d like to jump on board and join our team. We do both dry and wet laid construction of walls, retaining walls, patios, walks, water and fire features, chimneys, fireplaces… you name it! Starting pay is commensurate with experience: a novice may earn $27/h+ to start; those with experience, upwards of $40/h to start. 401k and paid time off after 6 months of employment, as well as DSWA training costs covered.
