Six participants had a great time learning all the in-depth details of working with fieldstone in Springfield VT this past weekend. They learned how to split boulders to make stones for wall ends and through stones.
A traditional double stack wall and Galloway wall sections were built. A total of over 35 lineal feet of historic wall was reconstructed with two cheek ends.
The instructor for the weekend was Brian Post, DSWA-GB Certified Master Craftsman and instructor. Special thanks to Martin Beavers who was visiting from England for his help setting up and assisting during the workshop. too.
