Laurel Stoneworks LLC was established and the Laurel Stoneworks site has been in development since 2015.  Laurel Stoneworks has been holding workshops since 2016, in Maryland and in Pennsylvania.  The site was initially established to address the need for proper instruction, with later focus starting to consider adjacent community needs such as therapeutic workshops, and outreach to special interest and underserved groups.  Construction and materials of the site has been entirely funded by Laurel Stoneworks, and the site is located on property owned by Kim and Jerry Coggin.

En route to or from your workshop, visit the “must see” in the photo above. Eliza Furnace, built in 1846, stands only 40 minutes away. She is one of the few Hot Blast Furnaces that was dry stone built and still standing.
