ALEX HOFFMEIER (Vermont) studied environmental science at Dickinson College before moving to Vermont in 2004. He earned a masters degree in Ecological Landscape Design from the Conway School in 2009. Following graduate school, Alex became a partner with Timber & Stone, LLC – designing and building recreational trails throughout the northeast and mid-Atlantic. In 2015, he and his wife Sarah (also a landscape designer) created Ecolibrium, LLC- Landscape Rooted in Design. Together they work with homeowners to envision and create beautiful, functional and ecologically minded landscapes. Focusing primarily on the design and construction of dry stone features, Alex holds a Level 3 Advanced Waller certificate through the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain. When he isn’t working with stone or teaching, Alex can be found trying to keep up with his two sons hiking, swimming, and skiing around Vermont.
