Join Our July 4-Day Medley of Dry Stone Workshops

Many people, professionals and enthusiasts alike, have asked us to cluster skill-building workshops so they can learn a lot in one trip. Our July 17-20 offerings respond to that request. In addition, we have developed a tuition payment plan to make our program more accessible. Please contact us for information.

Introduction to Dry Stone Walls and Contractors Intro, July 17

Both workshops engage participants in applying the 5 basics of dry stone walling. The contractors class also addresses good work practices, pricing walls, proper foundations, and other areas of special concern to professionals. Register here.

Retaining Walls, 7/18

Now that you’ve got the basics, apply them to building a retaining wall that will endure for generations. Appropriate for homeowners and contractors, this workshop addresses foundations, drainage, and other topics important to helping you make wise decisions as you conceive and implement your own projects. Register.

Flagging, 7/19

Come learn how to lay a good foundation and create an attractive pattern that will last for decades! Register.

Steps and Stairs, 7/19 or 7/20

Learn techniques for designing and building several types of steps and stairs, including layout, design, stone shaping, tool use, and methods for handling large stones will all be part of this workshop.

We are offering this workshop on two consecutive days, because a number of people want to learn stone shaping and flagging, too! Each workshop is open to a maximum of 8 participants. 2 spots remain in the 7/20 workshop. A workshop that does not reach half-capacity (in this case 4) will be cancelled. We’ll invite you to join another scheduled session. Register.

Due to COVID-19 we are registering workshops at half capacity. Please be in touch if you have trouble registering, so we can add you to our wait list or suggest another workshop date.
