March Waller of the Month: EHREN WOYT

EHREN WOYT (California) — I live and thrive in Big Sur, California, where I was born and raised. Eighteen years ago my passion for working in stone became a calling and led to the happy pursuit of refining my skills in the craft, which supports an outdoor, ocean-adventure-oriented, coastal lifestyle.

FEATURED IMAGE: For this inclined retaining wall (140 by 3 ft), I used a blend of quarried “California Gold” granite and local granite stone collected off the highway here in Big Sur. I used about 75 tons of stone for the project, which took about 10 weeks with the assistance of two other wallers, Dakota Michelson and Seth Quinones.
