8 lucky workshop participants got to work with Master Craftsman instructors Dan Snow and Chris Tanguay to build an amazing feature wall at Scott Farm. The two day workshop allowed participants to design their own panel, and work with a variety of stone types. Some truly great wall designs emerged throughout the weekend.
The Brattleboro Garden Club with Jil MacMenamin leading, will be installing and Maintaining a wonderful garden in the space behind the wall. Bringing new life and energy to a unused space on the Scott Farm. Jil is also the person who first identified the site a place for the Garden Club and The Stone Trust, and was able to secure some grant funding.
This was a huge project to pull off as a workshop and skill of these returning participants as well as the tremendous efforts of volunteers to prepare and clean up was huge. Special thanks to Jared Flynn, Judy Rand, Torben Larsen, Dan Snow, Jil MacMenamin and Brian Post.
Huge thanks to Camara slate who donated about 25 tons of slate to this project and other future builds!
