1-1/8” Carbide Tipped Point.
Has a hexagonal tip grind that is much pointier in one direction than the other. This gives the tools some directionality and allows you to break off larger chips much like the PKM25 or the Bull Point. Carbide is brazed into a socket in the handle. The main use of this tool is removing high spots and creating flat even tops and sides on stones.
Hand forged by the blacksmith Kondo in Aichi, Japan.
The handle stock is 1-1/8” diameter, and the tool is about 7 1/2” long. Weighs 2 lbs 7oz.
This tool is hand made and there are slight variations.
Very difficult to get in North America.
