The Stone Trust had a great time working with students at a local students in engineering expo. Over 200 students – junior high and high school – cam through in groups of 15 or so. The Stone Trust had several hands on activities with foam arches to show how force, friction, and gravity work. They even got to play with with reciprical frames using sticks of wood… not a technique for stone, but a fascinating and fast way to build a bridge or dome.
Thank you to board members Peter Welch and Judy Rand for making this happen!
