In 2020, The Stone Trust boasts seventy-eight professional members, six of whom are women. To join us as a professional member, you must achieve Level 1 certification from the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain.
Our female professional wallers include two women certified at Level 1 and four certified at Level 2. (Keep your eyes open to see who advances to the next level on September 18, Fall Testing Day!)
Several of these women wallers also teach for The Stone Trust; they are DSWA-GB-certified instructors, too. You must achieve Level 2 certification to become a Stone Trust instructor. Two of them also provide organizational guidance and support as TST board members.
If you would like to talk with our professional women wallers about projects you have in mind, or refer a project to any of our professional members across North America, feel free to use our project referral service.

Women’s Introduction to Dry Stone Walling Workshops
Some women are nervous about trying out dry stone walling, which is often a male dominated field. Dry stone walling is a field in which women can excel. At The Stone Trust we actively encourage women to try out dry stone walling and become professional wallers. The indoor training facility and women’s only environment make for a comfortable and supportive learning environment.
An amazing opportunity for women to learn
from women who are professional wallers.
Register for our Women’s Intro workshop on August 15 or October 17.
