June Waller of the Month: Jared Flynn

JARED FLYNN, a native Vermonter whose passion is the preservation of Dry Stone Walls, is featured in The Stone Trust’s 2018 Calendar for the month of June. As a founding member of the Stone Trust his efforts have supported dry stone enthusiasts and professionals with access to all things related to walling. Jared is a DSWA-GB Certified Master Craftsman Waller and Instructor. He also holds a Journeyman Certificate from the Dry Stone Conservancy of Kentucky. Jared owns Jared Flynn StoneWork.

The featured photo is a large retaining wall built to support a parking area. A mix of local fieldstone and granite waste block. The wall is 80 ft long, and was built with equipment set and hand set stone. Michael Murphy (DSWA-GB Level III) and Seth Harris (DSWA-GB Level II) helped with the build. The small images show features from Jared’s Master Craftsman Test built at The Stone Trust.
