Women’s Intro to Walling Workshop: April 9, 2021

Certified instructors Kim Coggin and Judy Rand

Women ranging in age from 40 to 64 attended the first Women’s Introduction to Dry Stone Walling of 2021. Four women, presumably friends, arrived from Warner, NH, near Concord, to learn the basics of building a freestanding dry stone wall. A couple of women local to Dummerston, home of the Stone Trust Center,  also attended, gathering expertise to add to what they had learned rebuilding stone walls on their own land. One women is considering dry stone walling as a later-in-life career. She enjoys the work and wants to build walls that stand the test of time. In this workshop, all of the participants hailed from the Northeast. Instructors Kim Coggin and Judy Rand traveled from South Fork, PA and Huntington, NY respectively to share professional-level knowledge, teaching by women for women. Thanks to everyone for making the trip!
